Install adn run Android 5.0 Lollipop Custom ROM for Nexus 4
The XDA Developers forum is a true home for all the Nexus 4 users and Android enthusiasts, as today we’ve found two brand new custom ROMs for Nexus 4 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. Use the instructions listed in this post in order to learn how to successfully flash this brand new ROM for your Google Nexus 4 smartphone. Note that before continuing to the tutorial you should read the preparation info below:
use this guide only for the Google Nexus 4 device.
use the tutorial only if you are an advanced Android user.
note that we cannot be blamed in case you brick your device nor in case you end up losing any important data in the process.

your device has to be rooted and running the latest CWM or TWRP custom Recovery images.
during installation you will be forced to apply two extra steps: NANDROID ROM Backup and Factory Reset.
– the NANDROID ROM Backup will create a full restore point for your Nexus 4, create it in order to be able to repair your device in case the new ROM isn’t installed correctly.
– factory reset has to be applied, so that you will remove every single file that was previously installed by a former ROM.
– do not skip these steps when you reach them in the tutorial.
check your Nexus 4 battery charge level and make sure that it is over 50%, this will prevent the device from switching off during the custom ROM installation.

This Android 5.0 Lollipop custom ROM is a ported ROM with elements from Lollipop for both Nexus 6 and Nexus 5 Developer Preview releases.
Install it at your own risk.
Below you can two different ROM builds:
Build LNX07M is based on Google Nexus 6 Android 5.0 Framework.
Build LPX-13D B15.1P is based on Nexus 5 Official Android L Preview.
Install the ROM build you prefer, but don’t install both of them at the same time. If you want to test both releases, then you should repeat the tutorial for each installation.
How to flash Android 5.0 Lollipop custom ROM for Nexus 4:
Download the Android 5.0 ROM build that you wish to install:
– Nexus 6 Framework – Build LNX07M 17S here.
– Nexus 5 Dev Preview – Build LPX-13D B15.1P here.
Download the other Optional files:
– Chainfire’s SuperSU file from here.
– Journal off for ext4 from here.
It would be best for you to download the ROM and the optional files directly to your Nexus 4 smartphone.
– after the files are copied to your device you can continue to the next step.
Power off the Nexus 4 and then boot it in Recovery Mode.
Create a full system backup using your CWM or TWRP Recovery mode.
– both CWM and TWRP are supported by this guide.
Now, use the ‘wipe’ functions of the Recovery Mode and delete the System, Data and Cache partitions.
Install the Android 5.0 ROM zip file now.
Next, wait for the ROM to boot in normal mode. Set it up and then allow the ROM to settle.
Reboot once again in Recovery Mode and flash the other optional files.
Boot your device in normal mode after that and that should be all.
